Presentation of ALBAN MUJA, artist from Pristina, Kosovo

Alban Muja will speak about his experience in Novi Sad, but in his presentation he will focus more in his previous art work, since he start doing conceptual art work, he will speak as well about his project (action) in street of Novi Sad called "Tourist city”.

Bio
Alban Muja (1980), artist (Kosovska Mitrovica/Pristina, Kosovo)
He currently lives in Prishtina, having graduate from the Faculty of Fine Art in Prishtina in 2003.

His works cover a wide range of media including video installation, paintings, photos, drawings and performance. In 2006 Alban was granted International Artist Residency, Braziers Park, OxfordShire, England and International Artist and Writer Residency, Santa Fe Art Institute, USA.

Presentation is realized in frame of New Program of Artists’ Residences in South-East Europe “Backyard residencies”, supported by the Nordic Council of Ministers.

“Backyard residencies” program aims at stressing the artistic cooperation in the SEE "backyard" and to amend the most common type of available artists' residencies in our region as the way of communication between the East and the West.

Program is take a part at the three prestigious independent art institutions in Vector Association, Iasi (Romania), Platform Garanti Contemporary Art Centre, Istanbul (Turkey) and New Media Cener_kuda.org, Novi Sad / Belgrade (Serbia).
